Advice After a Rear End Car Accident

Following an accident, remember that you do not need to immediately speak to any insurance company. Both you and the at fault driver’s insurance company will try to obtain a recorded statement from you immediately after the crash. They will both also want to sign numerous documents which may affect your ability to later seek reimbursement for your injuries.

Following an accident, injury victims are often medicated and confused. It is best to treat your injuries and make sure your health is sound before worrying about dealing with the insurance companies. Following an accident, the insurance companies are immediately going to work conducting an investigation.  You need to make sure you have someone on your side doing the same so your case is protected while you recover.

If you have been through the process of dealing with insurance companies after an accident before, you are aware that they are trying to pay you as little as possible for your injuries. They are also trying to to get the case resolved as fast as possible after the crash. They are not concerned if you will need future medical care, they simply want to pay you a little bit right now in exchange for your signature releasing them from any and all further liability.
