Mike Trout’s Car Accident Injures One

Shortly after a game last Wednesday, Mike Trout of the Los Angeles Angels was involved in a multiple vehicle crash that left one person seriously injured.

Trout, the 2014 American League MVP, was traveling along the 55 freeway in Santa Ana, St. Louis car accident lawyersCalifornia when his Mercedes struck a Chevy Sonic. While the center fielder walked away unhurt, the female driver of the Sonic sustained major injuries. The California Highway Patrol stated the incapacitated woman was removed from her vehicle by Orange County emergency personnel and transported to Orange County Medical Center in Tustin. Hospital personnel were not at liberty to provide an update on the medical condition of the female.

Billy Eppler, general manager of the Angels released the following statement: “I have spoken with Mike this evening and he feels fine. He is at home with his roommate and planning on traveling with the club to Seattle tomorrow afternoon. We will update as more information becomes available.”

It is reported that as Trout came upon stopped traffic on southbound 55, which was stopped as a result of an unrelated accident, he swerved in an attempt to avoid the collision. Trout’s Mercedes then struck the bumper of the Sonic, sending the vehicle into another stopped vehicle. The Sonic eventually came to rest near the shoulder of the freeway.

The California Highway Patrol reported that the onetime American League MVP checked on the incapacitated driver of the Sonic and cooperated with the responding emergency personnel and officers.
