Paul Walker Dies in Single Car Accident

The star from the movie franchise Fast and Furious appears to have died tragically earlier this evening in Santa Clarita, California. It is reported that Paul Walker was riding in a Porsche Carrera GT as a passenger when the crash occurred. Reports state that both of the occupants of the Carrera were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The auto accident is reported to have occurred after the red Porsche hit a pole and caught on fire.

Paul Walker’s management team released a statement via the actor’s Facebook page, which confirmed Mr. Walker’s passing. The statement also confirmed that the actor was a passenger of the vehicle when the accident happened. While The LA County Sheriff Department’s official release does not confirm identifies, it confirms the Sheriff’s department did respond to a single car fire with two victims inside who were pronounced dead at the scene.

TMZ has reported that actor Paul Walker was in town for a charity car show to benefit the Philippines typhoon recovery effort. Mr. Walker and another man reportedly left the show for a test ride in the Porsche when the car accident occurred. Wikipedia now reports the actor was born on September 12, 1973 and died on November 30, 2013.
