Pregnant Woman and Man Killed in St. Louis Car Crash
Ksdk.com reports that on May 31, 2011, a pregnant woman and her passenger died when their Buick Regal crashed into a tree following a police chase. Police report that an attempt was made to pull the vehicle over for excessive speed, however, the driver disregarded the sirens and kept driving. Officers then called off the pursuit to avoid danger to other St. Louis automobile drivers.
Witnesses to the crash report that the speeding vehicle ran a stoplight at Goodfellow and Natural Bridge in St. Louis City Missouri. After running the stoplight, the vehicle reportedly lost control and traveled about 25 yards through the air before crashing into a tree.
St. Louis residents DeJesus Stuart (31 years old) and Darshay Brandon (19 years old) were both killed as a result of the negligent driving. An additional 20 year old drier has survived the crash and is in the hospital recovering. Police are unsure at this time of the cause of the St. Louis car crash.
